Lazy Fitness

Does this make you stop, look at what's really in front of you, and laugh? I hope it does because this is absolutely ridiculous!!! The fact that a fitness center put escalators at the entrance just proves how lazy America is. This picture also makes fun of the American need to be able to get anything we want at anytime(I'm talking about the fact that the sign says "24 Hour Fitness"). What's worse is that this fitness center could be making more money by just having people walk up the stairs to get to the center. But instead, someone decided to make at least getting into the center easier, which is quite the accomplishment considering the aversion lazy people have to any hard work. I'm kinda curious as to what the center looks like inside and why someone would need a plastic bag at a gym. But either way, that's the typical American way: lazy.

The American Comfort Food

Most of us have watched "Super Size Me", a health video experimenting with how bad McDonald's fast food is for the body. Unfortunately, most people fell asleep during health class and continued to eat without considering what they were putting into their body. Now don't get me wrong, I love Mickey D's french fries, but seriously there is a limit to how much you eat and how often you eat it. Even their healthy stuff isn't that great and this picture might be more accurate than you think. If a clown endorses a fast food restaurant and is supposed to eat there a lot, then you would expect a fat clown. But people don't want to believe that if they eat fast food too much or too often that they could get fat. Maybe if there was a fat clown on the sign people would cut down on the calories; too bad the bosses don't agree.

America According to the World

Unfortunately, some people really only know this much about the world. Today's society seems to be getting more and more stupid. People are stuck with information that isn't useful or even accurate, regardless of the advances in technology. The major cause of this problem: people don't care. They simply don't care to know about anything that doesn't affect them. If not for the illegal immagration issue, Mexico may as well have not existed. Americans as a whole are far too egotistical on their view of their world. We're no better than anyone else. Maybe it's about time we realized how stupid we've let ourselves become and how big a reality check we need. To the other countries that put up with us, thanks for the patience.

Wonderland: Closer to Home Than You Think

Remember the official from Disney's animated "Alice in Wonderland"? Well in case you forgot his name was Dodo, as in the extinct bird. Was this just a funny joke to make the movie more interesting or was it satirizing government officials? Chances are it is the later. Most people today don't really care about politics and even more people don't think highly of politicians. This Disney official portrayed what everyone pictures as a typical politician; selfish and uncaring. Like when he has the other characters running on the beach to dry off when giant waves continue to soak everyone except him. Or when Alice outgrows the White Rabbit's house and the Dodo comes up with the brilliant idea of just burning the entire house to the ground. Either way, anyone would have to admit that the similarities are undeniable. It's nice to know that we teach our small children how to view the government as a bunch of bumbling dodos.
