Rockin' Out: For Real

There is nothing more annoying than when people think that just because they can play on expert in Rock Band, they can play an actual instrument. News Flash: you really can't! Rock Band, while it's an interesting and fairly fun game, doesn't use realistic instruments. I mean, come on! The guitar has only five buttons as opposed to the infinite number of fingerings on an actual guitar, the drum set has only five drums as opposed to six or seven, and the keyboard can be played with just one hand! As a band geek, this overconfidence from such false simplicity is insulting. It takes years for someone to become competent at any instrument. So to you rock gamers out there, before you go around believing you're good at any instrument think again. Respect the fine art that it is.
